Very sadly chimpanzees face many threats in the wild such as the illegal pet trade, and loss of habitat due to farming. Did you know for every baby chimp that becomes a victim of illegal trade, ten chimps are killed in the process? ZSL carry out work to help chimpanzees, for example through anti-poaching patrols and working closely with governments.
